Astral Sets New Industry Standard With Inventive Products
Three new recyclable coatings introduced in 2024
New challenges in 2024 led to cutting-edge results for Astral Adhesives & Coatings, Inc. As the team continued to develop dynamic and innovative ideas, collaborations with clients inspired groundbreaking new products that are changing the paperboard industry. Building on a growing demand to diversify its business, Astral created three new products in 2024 based on needs identified by customers:
AstralCoat 279: This FDA-approved, water-resistant coating features optimized MVTR performance that is printable and cold-set glueable. Developed collaboratively with a customer to achieve the required performance, this product also offers a great run ability on the coater with no pigment fallout.
AstralCoat 235: Featuring a versatile FDA-approved, water-resistant coating with intermediate MVTR, this product has low Cobb and excellent oil and grease resistance that is printable and cold-set glueable. It also has a relatively high slide angle.
AstralGrip 100: This product with an ultra-high angle of skid coating is designed for superior performance in anti-slip sheets.
