Alliance Expands Product Lines with Three Acquisitions

From Corrugator to Shipping, Alliance now offers material handling and peripheral equipment for every stage of the converting process. In 2025, Alliance completed acquisitions of Systec Conveyor Corp, Automatan Inc., and JD Engineers B.V., adding three new manufacturing locations and adding established material handling, conveyor, litho label laminator, and specialty folder gluer product lines to its already diverse product offering. “By acquiring JD Engineers, Systec Conveyor, and Automatan, we are significantly expanding our capability to support our trusted customers across every stage of the corrugated board converting process. This strategic move allows us to offer a more comprehensive range of solutions and enhance the value we bring to our customers,” said Marius Batrin, President of Alliance Machine Systems. “Each of our Alliance product lines provides tangible value and plays a crucial role in advancing our goal of being a premier full-solution provider. We are committed to delivering exceptional service, and these acquisitions will enable us to better meet the needs of our customers, ensuring their success and satisfaction.” One notable product addition is the JD Boxr, an advanced specialty folder gluer that will complement Alliance’s well-established J&L Mark 5 XT. Alliance’s line of specialty folder gluers can now fold a wide range of board sizes from as large as a 210-inch flat sheet to as small as a 5-inch flat sheet with 2-inch panels, opening the door for almost endless specialty folding-gluing possibilities.
Automatan’s litho label laminators and Systec’s material handling products, along with our new teams in Indianapolis and Plover bring decades of experience with development, installations, and customer service. In addition to premier labelers, Automatan offers high-production single face laminators, especially popular for the small-flute litho-laminated market, and pattern laminators for specialty game and puzzle markets. Systec’s material handling products extend from powered floor conveyor to conveyor safe walks and allow Alliance to handle every level of peripheral equipment after the corrugator.

NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

2025 also marked the launch and installation of Alliance’s first RAVEN Robotic Palletizer at Rand-Whitney in Worcester, MA (US). This milestone marks a significant advancement in automated bundle stacking technology for flexo lines, allowing fully automatic palletization in a more compact form factor, while producing top-tier units. The installation of the first RAVEN is the first of many installations anticipated in the coming years, and offers the industry a new, cutting-edge palletization solution for converting lines. Alliance continues to be recognized by our customers as industry leader. Our commitment is to develop and produce new machine designs to meet our customers’ changing needs. This includes our new electric-hybrid UltraFEED Block Push Bottom Feeder Electric. To date, Alliance has installed dozens of UltraFEED prefeeders, with many more planned for production.
