About Arden Software
Founded in 1988, Arden Software has been at the forefront of supplying design and manufacturing applications to the worldwide packaging sector. Our software solutions are built upon a deep understanding of the industry, drawing upon our 50-year heritage in die making. This extensive experience allows us to create software that perfectly meets the needs of industry professionals, combining cutting-edge technology with practical functionality that addresses real-world challenges. Our flagship product, Impact, is used globally by professionals seeking advanced solutions for packaging design, die making, and workflow automation.
Die Making Excellence
In a strategic move to enhance our offerings and consolidate our position in the industry, Arden Software acquired Cimex Corp., the developers of CimPACK Software—a leading name in the print, packaging, and die making sectors. This acquisition has positioned Arden Software as one of the largest suppliers of packaging design and automation software, with over 18,000 installations worldwide. Remarkably, our software is utilized by over 90% of packaging die makers in North America, underscoring our commitment to excellence and innovation.
To further elevate our die making capabilities, Arden Software North America developed the DMA (Die Making Add-Ons), a powerful plugin designed to enhance Impact’s functionalities, especially for rotary applications. The DMA plugin supports nearly 300 rotary cylinder variations, providing die makers with unparalleled flexibility and precision in their work. It offers advanced features such as:
On-Tooth and Off-Tooth Rotary Bridging: Allows for precise control over bridging, accommodating a wide range of design requirements.
Rotary Waste Chopping: Streamlines the removal of waste material, improving efficiency and reducing material costs.
Mitsubishi Evol Support: Integrates seamlessly with Mitsubishi Evol systems, enhancing compatibility and operational efficiency.
Estimating and Costing Tools: Provides accurate and efficient tools for estimating project costs, enabling businesses to make informed financial decisions and improve profitability.
These advanced features enable die makers to handle complex projects with increased efficiency and precision, solidifying Arden Software’s position as a leader in die making technology.
Advancements
in Workflow Automation
The global shift toward a decentralized workforce, accelerated by recent events, has amplified the demand for robust remote collaboration tools. In response, Arden Software has enhanced WEBcnx, our workflow automation tool that integrates seamlessly with Impact. WEBcnx manages the entire design life cycle—from initial design requests to final order fulfillment—in an intuitive, web-based system accessible from anywhere in the world.
This powerful tool empowers remote users and sales teams with complete access to the design workflow process, streamlining communication and reducing errors that can occur due to miscommunication or data silos. By offering real-time data access, even on mobile platforms, WEBcnx fosters closer relationships with customers and enhances collaboration across teams and departments.
Its seamless integration with Impact and other ERP systems provides critical real-time information, enabling businesses to make informed decisions quickly and efficiently. This integration ensures that all stakeholders have access to up-to-date information, improving transparency and facilitating better project management.
Introducing Impact 2023
and Impact DCM
Arden Software is proud to announce the release of Impact 2023, featuring a groundbreaking new parametric engine that is redefining how packaging is designed. This development, years in the making, introduces a level of artificial intelligence to structural design that sets new industry standards and pushes the boundaries of what is possible in packaging design.
Key features of the new parametric engine include:
Next-Generation Design Capabilities: The engine is designed to capture the designer’s intent as they draw, offering the ability to resize and reuse designs from the start. This dynamic and intuitive approach significantly reduces design time, minimizes errors, and enhances creativity by allowing designers to focus on innovation rather than repetitive tasks.
Advanced Constraint Solving: Built upon a proven geometric constraint-solving engine used in many popular CAD/CAM applications such as NX, Autodesk, OnShape, and PTC, the new engine ensures reliability, accuracy, and compatibility with industry standards. This foundation provides a robust platform that can handle complex design challenges with ease.
Ease of Use and Training: The familiarity of constraint-based design means it’s easier to find and train designers who have used similar systems in other industries or during their education. This accelerates the onboarding process, reduces training costs, and maximizes productivity by enabling designers to leverage their existing skills and knowledge.
Versatility With Historical Designs: The engine can be used for new drawings and also offers the ability to make any historical or imported design resizable. This provides unparalleled flexibility and efficiency in handling legacy projects, allowing businesses to update and optimize existing designs without starting from scratch.
