Glue and Inspection for flexo folder gluers

Today’s flexo-folder gluers can produce a record number of boxes—good or bad—in a short time. In modern production, solely relying on camera vision and QC to catch defects is no longer efficient. It often leads to clogged reject conveyors and manual sorting. In high-volume environments, it is better to prevent defects at the source. Fewer defects mean less intervention from QC systems and less labor spent chasing them. That has always been the mission of Baumer hhs: simply make a better box. To this end, Baumer hhs now offers a new mid-range solution that makes high-quality glue application more affordable for a wider range of box makers. It completes our product lineup for the corrugated flexo industry. The three versions are referred to as CorrBox Solution go, evo, and pro with each targeting a specific market.

THE SIMILARITIES

All versions use non-contact application. The benefits are measurable: the nozzles never touch the board, so they don’t wear, don’t collect loose fiber, and won’t skew the board. All versions use our all-electric glue valve, engineered for a minimum of one billion cycles. It operates up to 750 Hz and can help clear plugged nozzles. Each system is powered by the same high-pressure piston pump, capable of 600 psi and proven in the field for more than 10 years. All versions support our patented glue save mode (stitch mode), using up to 50% less glue while maintaining full bond strength. Testing shows equal or better results, with reduced standard deviation.

THE DIFFERENCES

CorrBox Solution go is the simplest model—no frills, no excuses. It delivers the same high-pressure non-contact performance and is economical enough for self-installation. CorrBox Solution evo combines value and performance with a graphical touchscreen and capability for enhanced glue detection. It uses the core technology of the pro version in a simplified, lower-cost design. CorrBox Solution pro offers the full feature set: the largest touchscreen, enhanced glue detection, and an automated water tray to keep nozzles immersed when idle. It is the most robust and expandable system, with options extending beyond glue verification to slot, gap, and bundle rejection. See how Baumer hhs can improve your quality and your bottom line.
