For over forty years, ARC International (a division of Precision Roll Solutions), with manufacturing plants in Charlotte, NC, and Las Vegas, NV, has continued to be the dominant full-service supplier to the corrugated industry. For the wet end of the corrugator, ARC supplies newly fabricated and reconditioned glue applicator and meter/doctor rollers for both single facers and glue machines. These rollers are supplied with traditional chrome-plated surfaces, or with ARC’s premium cladded stainless steel to eliminate rust or delamination. Applicator rollers are engraved with traditional 45-degree quadrangular cells, or ARC’s 60-degree Starch Saver™ hexagonal tooling for better release. For the dry end, ARC supplies pull, exit and knife rollers in a variety of surfaces, such as tungsten, molybdenum and carboxylated nitrile.
On the converting side, ARC offers an array of products for flexo folder-gluers and flexo die-cutters. Premium laser engraved ceramic anilox rollers, in traditional 60-degree HG™ hexagonal or 75-degree HD™ extended hex for better release and clean-up, are produced with the latest laser technology in the industry. Even jumbo anilox rollers up to 250″ in face length can be routinely reconditioned or newly fabricated.
To maintain efficient delivery of board into these converting machines, ARC offers upper feed rollers in a variety of elastomeric surfaces that will minimize board crush. The current trend in the industry is to utilize softer single-durometer feed rollers versus dual-durometer rollers with harder outside layers that promote crush. Used in conjunction with lower pull rollers, these can be supplied in a 45-degree pin-up pattern or a straight knurl, whatever the OEM spec may be. Though not as common as in years past due to the use of doctor blade units, rubber wiper rollers can be supplied with or without a crown, again dependent upon OEM specifications.
Whether an old aluminum doctor blade unit is rusted or leaking, or if a two-roller system needs to be converted to doctor blades, ARC has teamed up with Technoflex™ and BFT™ to supply the highest quality 100% carbon fiber blade units in single-blade or dual-blade chamber designs. These can truly extend the life of a flexo press!
As the laser anilox roller is the core product of ARC, the company supplies efficient roller/plate cleaners (tri-CLEAN™ and Pro ARC™) that can be used along with anilox cleaning plates from Efficient Anilox Care™ that help to maintain ink volume and color density. Don’t hesitate to contact your ARC technical representative at sales@arcinternational.com or 800-526-4569 to schedule an anilox roller audit to get a true snapshot of the anilox roller’s condition.
