Arden Software is a leading software company specializing in CAD and CAM software for the packaging industry.

Founded in 1988, we are an international leader in the development of structural design and workflow management systems, and our Impact software is used all over the world.

For more than 30 years, we have supplied design and manufacturing applications to the worldwide packaging sector, and drawing upon our 50-year background in die-making, we have created software that works perfectly for those who work in the industry.

While the pandemic has slowed travel Arden has seen significant growth both through acquisition and the need for more automation alike.

This past year Arden Software acquired Cimex Corp. Cimex develops CimPACK Software, which, like Impact, is a leading name in the print, packaging and die-making sectors. Making Arden Software one of the largest suppliers for packaging design and automation software with over 18,000 stations installed.

Jim Silianoff, President of Arden Software North America, said: “Much like Arden, Cimex is a global supplier of CAD and CAM software in the packaging sector, so we’re excited to bring their skills and expertise into the Arden Group.

“This partnership will bring together some of the best minds in the industry to develop a new era of software tools and innovative solutions for our customers.

“The breadth of knowledge and experience within Cimex, combined with the development power of Arden, will ensure we’re uniquely positioned to deliver highly automated, efficient and innovative solutions to our existing and new customers.

“Our industry remains a highly collaborative and increasingly technical environment. Whether it’s new technologies for die-making and manufacturing, workflow automation, ecommerce, packaging design or collaboration, this acquisition will solidify our position as a technology innovator in the packaging industry, building on the strong relationships that both companies have with their customers.”

A more decentralized workforce has meant an increase in the demand for WEBcnx, Arden’s workflow automation tool that integrates with Impact. The WEBcnx solution which can manage the entire design lifecycle from design request to becoming an order is an easy to use web based system. This has given many work at home users along with sales teams complete access to the design workflow process that has actually streamlined communication, reduced errors, provided easy access to realtime data, even on mobile platforms and in all cases developed closer relationships with their customers.

Arden Software has also strengthened relationships with our partners. We have and continue to work with Bobst to streamline and automate the die making process. A new version of an integration plugin for TOPs software. Our work with Print Now has been implanted in a number of leading web to package companies and is state of the art. We are also very proud of our new integration with Kiwiplan. Once again demonstrating that Arden’s integration capabilities are unmatched.

For the coming year Arden will be releasing Impact 2022 which will have a new parametrics engine that will redefine how packaging is designed. This has been in development for years and the culmination of that development will be released in V2022 of Impact CAD. The new parametric engine brings a level of AI to structural design that will set the standard going forward.

We really look to getting on the road in the new normal and seeing all of our customers once again. Visit www.arden
