Amtech Software introduced AI-driven operations platform Amtech Intelligence, also acquiring Clarico Systems in the process.
“The acquisition of Clarico System is a meaningful step forward for Amtech Intelligence and our commitment to the packaging industry,” says Chuck Schneider, CEO of Amtech. “Clarico, integrated into Amtech’s ERP offerings, will provide an unmatched capability that gives our customers a competitive advantage. This is exactly the kind of innovation our customers deserve, and it’s available to them today.”
According to an Amtech press release, Amtech Intelligence delivers AI capabilities across schedule and shipment planning and AI-enabled quoting. Additional capabilities are reportedly being developed with the input of the company’s customer AI Council, a group of packaging manufacturers who provide direct input on Amtech’s AI road map.

Dawn Wittkopf
SUN Automation Group appointed Dawn Wittkopf as west coast capital equipment sales manager.
In this role, Wittkopf will focus on developing new opportunities for SUN’s capital equipment solutions while supporting corrugated manufacturers across the region, according to a SUN Automation press release.
Wittkopf previously served as a sales application engineer at Alliance Machine Systems International, where she spent more than three years “working closely with customers to evaluate equipment needs and deliver tailored solutions,” the release says.
“Dawn’s engineering background and customer-focused mindset make her an excellent addition to the SUN team,” says Greg Jones, executive vice president at SUN Automation. “Her ability to connect technical solutions with real customer needs will be a valuable asset as we continue to expand our support for corrugated manufacturers across the West Coast.”
Mid America Paper Recycling (MAPR) is celebrating its 100th anniversary.
“For 100 years, this business has been built on relationships,” says Don Gaines, a fourth-generation leader of the company. “Markets change. Customers change. But what doesn’t change is how you show up, being genuine, sharing your knowledge, and helping people find better ways to operate. That’s what earns trust over time.”
As Mid America celebrates this milestone, it is also entering a new phase of growth as part of FV Recycling, a platform designed to expand capabilities, scale operations, and bring additional resources to customers, according to a company press release
“Reaching 100 years is something we’re extremely proud of,” Gaines says. “But it’s not the finish line. It’s a responsibility to keep delivering, to keep improving, and to keep earning the trust of the people we work with every day.”
The company’s centennial will be recognized by the AICC as part of its Member Milestone program, honoring companies that have achieved significant anniversaries of continuous operation.
