Let’s be honest, the world is a pretty crazy place right now. Since the pandemic became a part of our lives at the beginning of 2020, there have been massive changes in the way business is done. Purchasing and the procurement of raw materials is more challenging than it has ever been. The movement of freight, whether LTL, truckload or rail, is a constant difficulty that makes the tracking of shipments and on time deliveries a daily struggle. To top it all off, finding, and hiring, quality employees has never been more complicated. In short, manufacturing in a post-Covid world has presented a staggering number of obstacles that must be overcome. At the same time, amidst this turmoil, there is the opportunity to learn, grow, change and come out on the other side stronger than ever. Regardless of a company’s size, everyone has had to face the challenges of these times. At Quantum Ink we have a devotion to being the best version of ourselves, and the results have been incredibly positive.

Anyone involved with the purchasing of raw materials understands the challenges the last year and a half have presented. Long-standing supply chains have been tested and broken, materials that were once readily available are now difficult, or impossible, to get and many materials have been put on allocation with no foreseeable end date. To make matters even worse, there is no telling week to week what items will be available and at what quantity. Those in purchasing have had to learn to take what they can get when they can get it, without knowing when the next availability will come. Quantum Ink, for instance, now sits on nearly 3 times the inventory that was considered normal 2 years ago. We are in the business of next day deliveries. To ensure our customers get what they want, we have had to change the way we think about inventory. There has never been a time when business relationships are more important, and Quantum Ink has a long-standing tradition of keeping loyal and trustworthy partners. One of the most important things companies can do is to have open and honest communication with their business partners. Tough times have the tendency to bring out a company’s true character, and as we work toward our second consecutive record year, Quantum Ink has thrived through this difficult time. Our team works tirelessly with raw material suppliers to give us the greatest likelihood for securing the products we need. We have shipping and receiving employees who diligently track every piece of freight, both inbound and out, to make sure our customers are informed of their deliveries. In short, difficult times have brought out the best in Quantum Ink and we are very proud of the success we have shown.

As Quantum Ink has grown throughout the last 2 years, another hurdle that has presented itself is the hiring of quality employees. With the understanding that this is a difficult market to hire in, Quantum Ink has decided to invest in our existing employees. Throughout the pandemic, there has been no employee turnover to speak of as a result of the productive and positive environment in our facility. Quantum Ink offers employees an incredible compensation and benefits package and tries to encourage employees to better themselves by promoting from within. Our mentality is that if it is difficult to find new talent, why not take care of the talent that you have? The morale level, and employee satisfaction, has led to a team that consistently goes above and beyond.

While the world is crazy, Quantum Ink has found a way to face the post Covid world and come out more successful than ever. This has been accomplished by adhering to the values that have been long established at Quantum Ink. We believe in open and honest communication with our partners, and always strive to do everything we can to ensure success. We have a strong team of dedicated individuals who take their jobs seriously and have bought in to doing things the Quantum way. As we complete our second consecutive record year, the future is unbelievably bright.
