The Box Hopper: High-Speed Prefeeding for Converting Lines
Launched in 2022, the
Box Hopper is Rigorous Technology’s flagship prefeeding robot, developed in close collaboration with
Accurate Box Company. Designed for folder gluers and other converting equipment, the Box Hopper combines a compact footprint, advanced control software, and optional pallet management to deliver a fully integrated, turnkey feeding system.
Every Box Hopper is tailored to meet the operational requirements of its environment, supporting high throughput while maintaining the gentle handling needed for premium packaging applications.
The RIG Palletizer: Flexible End-of-Line Automation
In 2025, Rigorous expanded its packaging automation portfolio with the
RIG Palletizer, a robotic palletizing system built specifically for the box industry. Developed through close collaboration with manufacturers like
Curtis Packaging and in partnership with
Koenig & Bauer, the RIG Palletizer is designed to meet the space, speed, and flexibility demands of modern folding carton and corrugated plants.
The RIG can be deployed as either a
mobile or
stationary unit, rolling easily between lines or integrating into fixed layouts. Equipped with
vision-guided picking, multi-orientation handling, and
no-code job setup, it empowers operators to start or adjust jobs in minutes. Its modular design supports a wide range of case sizes and pallet patterns, while built-in safety scanners ensure safe, collaborative operation around human teams.
By combining industry-specific tooling with Rigorous’s
RGS control software, the RIG Palletizer delivers consistent stacking accuracy, rapid changeovers, and real-time system insights, helping box makers increase throughput without increasing labor burden.
