Steve Lynn

Durst North America announced that Steve Lynn has joined the company as packaging manager. Lynn brings an abundance of industry experience and customer focus to an already high-level group of sales and marketing professionals at the company.

As our various market demands shift, we must address the changing dynamics through our products, our processes, and our people, said Durst North America CEO and Managing Director Tim Saur. Steve is another example of the constant evolution of our organization that will help us provide greater solutions to our customers.

Xante announced En/Press, its next-generation digital envelope press. Its a four-color process digital press built around an Adobe PostScript controller that delivers full-color output at up to 60 letter-size pages per minute or 4,000 #10 envelopes per hour with variable data. The new press was debuted at the Graphics of the Americas expo in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., in February.

En/Press raises the bar for the digital press technology, said Xante President and CEO Robert Ross. It’s truly a unique solution with its incredible print quality, dead-on spot color matching, simple ease of use, durability, low cost, and the CTP polyester plate printing that Xante customers have come to expect.

PPC Technologies & Solutions (PPCTS) signed an agreement for the distribution, sales, and service of the Focuslight line of Shark and Gecko offline automatic inspection systems for U.S. and Canadian markets. Focuslight is a technologically advanced developer and manufacturer of equipment in machine vision and automation that provides complete solutions for industrial image detection for the printing, packaging, and related automation industries.

With having over 15 years of personal experience in the field of defect inspection, there is no doubt in my mind that Focuslight offerings are very well conceived, said PPCTS President Richard McDonald, and I look forward to many additional successful machinery installations in the USA and Canada.

C&M Conveyor has promoted Randy Grube to president. Since joining the company in 2013, Grube had served in multiple roles, including chief operating officer, vice president of sales and customer service, and directory of field operations. He has also been a part of the management team directing C&M’s growth initiative to add capacity and new products and to increase productivity in all company operational areas.

MacDermid Graphics Solutions announced its Diamond Parter membership in the European Flexographic Industry Association (EFIA). The association promotes tools and initiatives to grow industry technical knowledge, innovation, operational efficiency, and recognition.

We are excited to join EFIA and to be a part of this industry leading, forward thinking flexo organization, said Matthew Bates, territory manager at MacDermid. As a Diamond Partner, we look forward to working closely with our industry associates to continue pushing the boundaries of flexo.


BOBST 20SIX CI flexo press

Riyadh Plastic Factory Co. (RPF) recently signed a contract for a BOBST 20SIX CI flexo press, making it the second smartGPS press purchased from BOBST in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The first was purchased by Interplast, based in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, in 2014. Both RPF and Interplast are associated with Harwal Group.

Ever since the first BOBST 20SIX was installed, it has performed to our full satisfaction, both in terms of print quality and productivity, said Mike Koroukian, executive director of Harwal’s packaging materials divison. When we decided to invest in a new machine to boost our capacities, the decision in favor of BOBST was an easy on.

Both BOBST presses feature ten colors, a print width of 1,450 mm, printing speed up to 500 m/min and a maximum repeart of 1,200 mm.

width=300Pamarco announced an agreement to represent the flexographic and converting product lines of Graymills and GAMA in North America. The combination of the pumping and ink management systems with Pamarco’s anilox rolls will improve the print performance and production speeds of modern presses.

Poteet Printing Systems is celebrating its 20th anniversary as a national leader in the high-performance and graphics-oriented flexo industry. The company was founded in 1998 by Roger Poteet and Mark Sirota. Plans for the future of the company include increasing capacity, facilities, and personnel.
