Mike Soucy

Kadant Johnson LLC named Mike Soucy vice president, corporate accounts.

In this role, Soucy is responsible for strengthening and advancing strategic commercial relationships with key corporate accounts, including manufacturers, engineering firms, and distributors. Representing Kadant Black Clawson, Kadant Johnson, and the Kadant Solutions Division, he will work closely with Kadant subsidiaries across the Americas to support customer engagement and advance Kadant’s interests in critical markets.

Soucy has been a member of Kadant Johnson’s leadership team since 2016, when he assumed responsibility for the systems engineering group. He joined Kadant in 1997 through a subsidiary of the Johnson Corp., now Kadant Canada. He was appointed president of the Canadian business in 1998 and led that operation until relocating to the United States in 2015. Prior to joining Kadant, he served as a product manager for steam and condensate systems at Valmet‑Enerdry.

Soucy brings decades of industry experience in papermaking and converting, demonstrated through frequent technical presentations at TAPPI (Technical Association for the Pulp & Paper Industries) and PAPTAC (Pulp and Paper Technical Association of Canada) events, as well as at leading paper engineering programs at Western Michigan University and Miami University. He is an active board member of the Association of Suppliers to the Paper Industry (ASPI) and is recognized for his engagement with customers and suppliers in the development of collaborative, value-driven outcomes.


Pete Tridone

SUN Automation Group hired Pete Tridone as internal sales manager.

In this role, Tridone will support SUN’s sales organization in internal sales operations, customer relationships, and collaboration across sales and marketing initiatives. His responsibilities will include supporting internal sales processes, improving pipeline visibility and CRM utilization, and working closely with marketing and sales leadership across customer-facing initiatives.

“Pete brings a strong combination of operational discipline, systems expertise, and people-focused leadership,” says Greg Jones, executive vice president of SUN Automation Group. “His experience implementing and optimizing sales tools, along with his understanding of sales processes and customer engagement, will help us continue to scale efficiently while strengthening relationships with our customers.”

Tridone has previous experience in sales operations, SAP and CRM implementations, acquisition integrations, customer relationship management, pipeline management, and trade promotion management.


Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America’s (MHIA’s) corrugating machinery division (CMD) launched a new Customer Portal designed to give existing customers access to machine and service information.

The MHIA portal includes information on parts, operation, and maintenance manuals; service call logs and reports; service schedules; and parts quoting.

“Our goal with the Customer Portal is to make it easier for customers to access the information they need to support day-to-day operations and long-term equipment performance,” says Christine Little, director of sales at MHIA CMD. “This platform creates a single point of access for essential machine and service resources.”

The portal is available to existing MHIA customers and will continue to expand with additional functionality over time. Customers interested in registering can request access by emailing sales@mhicorr.com. Once registered, users will receive login instructions and onboarding support.


Altamont Capital Partners is investing in Key Container Corp. to “help Key Container’s management team build a scaled corrugated platform,” according to an Altamont press release.

“Over the past six decades, Key Container has established itself as a regional manufacturing leader,” says Billy Medof, operating partner at Altamont. “Ever-changing customer needs require that packaging suppliers stay nimble, capable, reliable, and customer-first. We believe Key Container, with its top-notch facilities, operations, and customer service, is well-positioned in today’s evolving market, and we’re excited to work in lockstep with David [Strauss] and the team to support the company’s transformation and growth.”

Strauss will continue to serve as Key Container president.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Jefferies Financial Group acted as the exclusive financial advisor for Altamont. For Key Container, TM Capital – A Division of Capstone Partners acted as the exclusive financial advisor.

CompanyBox installed a BOBST EXPERTCUT 1.6 PR flat-bed die-cutter and inline bundle breaker.

According to a CompanyBox press release, the BOBST EXPERTCUT integrates with two upgraded HP C500 digital presses and a new Kobus three-color rotary.

“This installation represents a major leap forward for supporting our specialty sheet plant,” said Kyle DeJesus, President of CompanyBox. “Marrying the EXPERTCUT with our Kobus rotary and C500 presses expands our capabilities and strengthens our ability to serve customers with specialized needs. The entire CompanyBox team is extremely happy about this installation and what it means for our future.”
