Creasing, cracking, rupture, splitting, and checking all mean the same thing and all mean trouble when converting corrugated board. These terms and “score cracking” generally refer to the fibre dislocation on the outside/ printing side/ label side of corrugated board. Whatever term one uses, it is an issue faced by all converters and warrants careful attention in quality control processes.
