An Investment in the Future of Independent Packaging

August 24, 2026

By the time you read these words, team members from AICC member companies will have completed more than 30,000 courses through Packaging University—a milestone worth celebrating and, more importantly, sustaining.

When Packaging University launched in the spring of 2017, AICC made a bold commitment: to provide every employee of every dues-paying member company access to meaningful, industry-specific education. Since then, Packaging University has become one of AICC’s most valuable member benefits.

The return on investment has been clear. Member companies have reduced training and onboarding costs while strengthening the capabilities of their people. Employees have gained a broader understanding of the corrugated and packaging business, sharpened their skills, and increased the value they bring to their organizations every day.

Today, Packaging University includes more than 150 courses across nine colleges, with approximately 40 courses available in Spanish. It continues to evolve to meet the changing needs of our industry—updating content, developing new coursework, and expanding access to ensure that learning remains relevant and practical.

But excellence in workforce education does not sustain itself. Keeping Packaging University current and impactful requires significant investment, both human and financial. AICC’s general funds support this work, but they do not cover it entirely. That is where the Foundation for Packaging Education becomes essential.

Foundation donors make Packaging University sustainable. They help ensure that our industry has a stronger, more knowledgeable workforce—one prepared to lead, innovate, and grow.

More than 500 companies belong to AICC. Yet today, only 49 are foundation donors.

AICC members have always been generous with their time, sponsorships, expertise, and ideas. Supporting the Foundation for Packaging Education is another meaningful way to strengthen the future of independent packaging.

If Packaging University has benefited your company, or if you believe in investing in the next generation of industry talent, please consider becoming a Foundation for Packaging Education donor.

It is an investment not only in your team, but in the future of the independent converter.
