Signode’s BXT4 tool.
Signode expanded its tools portfolio with the BXT4 battery-powered hand tool for plastic strapping.
The BXT4 is equipped with the company’s Easy Trigger™ technology, according to a Signode news release. It also includes manual, semi-automatic, and automatic modes of operation, a wear-resistant base made from heat-treated steel, and additional tool components.
“The BXT4 tool represents a leap forward in handheld strapping tools,” said Nicole Ostryzniuk, vice president of global tools at Signode. “Its combination of ergonomic design, smart features and robust construction gives users the reliability and control they need in fast-paced environments.”

Ram Srinivasa
SUN Automation Group hired Ram Srinivasa as director of aftermarket services.
Srinivasa will lead SUN’s aftermarket strategy, focusing on service, parts support, and customer success across SUN’s global base. He brings more than two decades of diverse industry experience spanning machine tools, corrugating, automation, and finishing operations. Srinivasa began his career in the machine tool industry before transitioning into the corrugating sector, where he spent seven years, and he spent the last 17 years in the finishing business.
“Ram’s background uniquely positions him to elevate SUN’s Aftermarket organization,” said Gokul Gopakumar, vice president of technology and business development and aftermarket. “His experience across multiple segments of our industry—combined with a strong understanding of finishing operations—allows him to approach service and aftermarket solutions from a truly customer-centric perspective. We are excited to have him lead initiatives that strengthen uptime, performance, and long-term value for our customers.”
