Pete Edwards
FV Recycling named Pete Edwards chief financial officer.
Edwards brings more than 20 years of financial management experience, most recently as CFO of manufacturing company Axel, and will lead FV’s accounting department.
“As FV grows, we need a financial function that helps our teams understand performance, plan effectively and make informed decisions about where to invest,” says FV Recycling President Gene Smith. “Pete’s experience building accounting operations and aligning financial management with business strategy will help us make those decisions with confidence.”
The appointment comes as FV builds on its combination with Mid America Paper Recycling.
“I was impressed by the leadership team’s vision for FV and saw a clear opportunity to contribute my experience,” Edwards says. “My priority is to build on the accounting team’s strengths and develop a planning function that works closely with leaders throughout the company.”

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America leaders cut the ribbon at the opening of the company’s new facility in Las Vegas.
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America (MHIA) opened a new larger warehouse in Las Vegas.
MHIA marked the opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in October. According to an MHIA press release, the facility expands the company’s inventory and fulfillment capabilities.
“Our new Las Vegas warehouse gives us greater capacity to support customers throughout the Western U.S.,” says Christine Little, director of sales at MHIA CMD. “Expanding our presence in the region helps us keep the parts and resources our customers rely on closer to where they need them.”
SUN Automation Group entered a strategic partnership with Elitron America, under which SUN Automation will represent Elitron throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
“With SUN Automation, we now reach more box makers through a name they already trust, says Elitron America President Daniele Gallucci. “What they get is a system built for corrugated, not adapted to it. That difference shows up on the floor every day.
“We heard strong feedback from customers already using Elitron equipment, and that gave us confidence in both the company and the reliability of its technology,” says Gokul Gopakumar, vice president of technology and business development at SUN Automation. “The level of automation they bring was also important to us because it aligns with what we’re seeing customers look for across the corrugated industry.”
Elitron first established its North American presence in 2017 with an office in Norcross, Georgia.
