Corrugated & Packaging LLC has named Michael Feterik, after a short hiatus from the industry, as its new president and CEO. He says, I am excited about my return to the industry that I know and love. I am condfident that I can help what is already a very strong company become even more formidable by leveraging my experience, relationships, and knowledge.
JB Machinery Inc. has entered into an exclusive global sales agreement with Phoseon Technology for UV LED into the sheetfed corrugated sector. JB Machinery introduces the ColorCure ‘Cold’ UV LED, which provides exceptional gloss levels, full product protection, and the ability for the converter to run more efficiently, in terms of cost, waste, temperature, and energy consumption.
Electronics For Imaging, Inc. (EFI), announced that Great Little Box Co. is implementing and EFI Packaging Suite, with Radius as the core ERP technology. This will help streamline the Pacific Northwest-based company’s multifaceted operation, which includes managing its corrugated box, label, flexible packaging, folding carton, protective packaging, shipping and moving, and storage equipment operations.
EFI also acquired CRC Information Systems, a company of Reynolds and Reynolds. Based in Scottsdale, Ariz., CRC is a business management information systems provider for commercial printers and packaging label and forms printers throughout the U.S. and Canada.
A BHS Corrugated-designed complete corrugator will be installed for Bio Pappel at their Chihuahua, Mexico location. This marks the sixth complete corrugator Bio Pappel will commission from BHS. Other companies, such as Cajas de Carton de Sultana in Santa Catarina, have purchased equipment from BHS. That includes their Wet End and Modul Facer Bandleader MF-B corrugators.
Pamarco launched its new ‘Fidelity’ water rollers, which reduce ink and water speeds and increase efficiency with ink transfers. Also noted is the incredible durability of the rollers. Jeff Satterfield of Highland Computer Forms tested the product and says, They are amazing.
