HPHP Inc. revealed the first HP PageWide Web Press T1100S, codeveloped with KBA, which reinvents corrugated packaging printing for high-volume, digital preprint applications. DS Smith Packaging is the first customer to install the 2.8 meter width (110-inch) press, which can deliver significantly higher productivity and production flexibility than traditional analog technology.


Abram

Nichols

C&M Conveyor announced the appointment of Abram Nichols as its new lead project engineer. The appointment is C&M Conveyor’s latest staff addition as part of its continued growth initiative that began nearly three years ago to add capacity and increase productivity.

In addition, C&M Conveyor announced Mark Boardman, regional sales manager for the Western Territory, left the company on Dec. 31, 2015 to pursue other opportunities. Boardman will be succeeded by Tony Leckie, who previously served as field service engineer at MarquipWardUnited, a division of Barry-Wehmiller, a global manufacturer of corrugated machinery.

 


Pamarco, a manufacturer for offset printing rolls, press accessories and consumables, will be a sponsor for the 2016 Print UV Conference held in Las Vegas from March 16–18, 2016. They will have representatives present to answer any questions about UV Red and UV Blue rubber rollers.

The Graphics Division at Dynamic Dies receive the DuPont Cyrel Quality Assured Platemaker Designation

Dynamic Dies Inc. has been awarded the DuPont Cyrel Quality Assured Platemaker designation, given to only an elite group of digital cyrel users in North America. This designation ensures that Dynamic Dies meets DuPont’s highest standards for consistency and quality in flexographic platemaking.


HBHarris & Bruno International announced it was part of an event that showcased the HP PageWide Web Press T400S with coating options during an open house at HP’s facility on Jan. 19 and 20.


After a long successful career, Jim Alexander, president and COO of Container Graphics Corp., retired from the company on January 8, 2016.

Alexander began with Container Graphics in 1976 as a sales representative in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was promoted to sales manager in Atlanta, Georgia and then to general manager in Charlotte. In 1984 he was made a vice president of the company and was appointed to the position of regional manager in 1990. Alexander took on the role of COO in 2002 and then president in 2011.

Neil Saunders is taking on the responsibilities of President as well as CEO.


habitat-build-custompackagingCustom Packaging helped to sponsor a day of the 2015 Women Build for Habitat for Humanity on June 6, 2015. This is the 64th Habitat house build in Wilson County. Nine employees and two spouses volunteered for the day.
