EMBA FFG QS Ultima™
Ultima™ technical platform
The first EMBA FFG QS Ultima™ machine introduced to the corrugated packaging industry was our 245 QS Ultima. Along with it, the world’s first true Non-Crush Converting™ concept was launched thanks to the revolutionary Ultima Feeder™ with no feed rolls.
EMBA has subsequently transformed the machine portfolio to a standardized range with three more sizes, 175 QS Ultima, 215 QS Ultima, and most recently the 295 QS Ultima.
The Ultima technical platform is well reputed for its high-end technology, product quality, and outstanding output. With a highly configurable design and proven list of options, the Ultima technical platform is a versatile machine concept allowing converters to customize their Ultima to their specific needs. It can be configured for everything from high volume production to complex die cutting and high graphics production.
It’s an important driving force for us, at EMBA, to evolve our Ultima converting lines to provide flexibility to our customers because a machine investment is a long-term decision and market conditions are continuously changing.
A great advantage of our machines built on the Ultima technical platform is that operators can easily move between different machine sizes in the plant. Also, from a maintenance and spare parts availability point of view, the standardized machine concept offers cost efficient planning capabilities in daily manufacturing operations.
Scaling up – 295 FFG QS Ultima™
With a customer-driven development as one of our main objectives, it’s always important to provide the market with the best, and requested, solutions. Introducing the 295 QS Ultima to cover sheet sizes up to 2900mm (114″) in width. This was a logical step for us and we are convinced it will be a welcomed contribution to the market.
Besides the outstanding output, the 295 QS Ultima has all the features and benefits recognized in the other Ultima machines. Quick-set, non-rush converting technology, four shaft slotter featuring two sheet converting in one revolution, up to six printing units with either rubber doctor rolls or closed chamber doctor blade system, and naturally, for this size machine, the well proven heavy duty bottom die cutter.
The 295 QS Ultima features the unique DualBox™ innovation in its standard configuration. Using our True Non-Crush Converting to increase box strength and allow paper grammage reduction, the 295 QS Ultima offers greater potential for better sustainability.
