AICC México Celebrates 25 Years

August 24, 2026

Attendees enjoy an evening cocktail reception at the AVA Cancun Resort.

From May 17 to 20, more than 120 AICC members from Mexico, Canada, and the United States gathered in the resort city of Cancún to celebrate a major milestone: the 25th anniversary of AICC México.

The occasion was marked with a fitting celebration, featuring a dynamic speaker program, a golf tournament, a gala dinner, and an AICC México Hall of Fame induction ceremony—creating an experience that was both festive and deeply meaningful.

Attendees arrived at the beautiful AVA Cancun Resort and kicked off the event with a poolside, oceanside cocktail reception that set the tone for the days ahead.

The formal program opened the following morning with welcoming remarks from AICC México President Jorge Ortega, AICC President Mike D’Angelo, and AICC Chairwoman Terri-Lynn Levesque. A presentation on the Mexican economy by Rodrigo Pacheco followed, providing attendees with timely economic insight.

A highlight of the opening day was the highly anticipated Founders Panel, featuring Humberto Trevino, Marco Ferrara, Brad Hughes, José Díaz, and Steve Young. The panel reflected on the formation of AICC México, sharing stories of its early years, growth, and significant accomplishments over the past quarter century.

A gala reception and dinner took place with a video montage celebrating 25 years of AICC México. AICC México also inducted David Yáñez of BCM Inks Mexico into its Hall of Fame—a very worthy choice.

Day two delivered a high-energy experience with an engaging presentation by Jorge Rojas, followed by former AICC Chairman Gary Brewer’s industry-focused session, Grit and Growth. The morning program concluded with 24 golfers taking to the challenging layout of the AVA golf course.

The Founders Panel featured reflections on the genesis of AICC México and its early years.

The final day of the celebration featured keynote speaker Fernando Parrado, survivor of the historic Miracle in the Andes. Parrado inspired attendees with a powerful message about resilience, determination, and the extraordinary results that can be achieved through teamwork in the face of impossible odds.

AICC México and AICC extend sincere thanks to Platinum Sponsors Kolbus and Amtech, as well as other sponsors Alliance, BCM Inks Mexico, BW Papersystems, Carton.com, Central Pack, Crespel & Deiters, EAM Mosca, Fosber, Global Boxmachine, and SUN Automation Group. Their generous support helped make this milestone celebration possible.
