Durst Leads The Way in Digital Printing for The Corrugated Market

Durst’s commitment to innovation, its ability to anticipate and respond to industry trends, and its proven digital imaging technology make Durst a strong industry leader and cultivator of the future of the corrugated printing segment. With sustainability and automation at the forefront of today’s needs, it is important to partner with someone who has the technology to lead the industry for years with its solutions for today’s manufacturers and converters. Durst offers the widest range of printers, inks, and software available for the Corrugated market, and leads with the strongest team of specialists.

For multi-pass production with UV ink, Durst offers the P5 350, Rho 2500, and P5 SMP. The P5 350 printer is a fully automated hybrid solution for board printing up to 3.5m and reaches, in the High-Speed version, a productivity up to 7 MSF per hour. The Durst Rho 2500 can achieve a maximum productivity of 13.450 MSF per hour and a production capacity of 8.6 MSF per hour in the HS version. Multiflex full automation is available with the Rho 2500, achieving a maximum loading and unloading capacity of 380 boards/hour. For corrugated printing, an automated dual track guide ensures the corrugated boards remain flat, allowing change between board sizes very quickly. The brand-new Durst P5 SMP is a highly versatile and adaptable 3.5m hybrid printer. It reaches an output of up to 21,500 sq. ft./h, offering a remarkable capacity of almost 54 million sq. ft./year. With optional feeding and stacking options, it is the ultimate solution for high productivity printing.

For multi-pass, short-run production with water-based ink, the Durst P5 250 WT is the most productive and sustainable water-based solution, with improved efficiency due to 30% less energy consumption. This printer is our solution for short- and mid-run digital printing production and is equipped with full automation and Durst Water Technology Inks.

For single pass with water-based ink, Durst offers the Delta SPC 130. Combining a well-engineered mechanical design with easily accessible sub-assemblies and selected components, the Delta SPC 130 guarantees durable quality, unrivaled versatility, low maintenance requirements, and 24/7 reliability. Developed for high-
speed, short-, medium-, and long-run jobs, it offers a maximum of six colors and can print on small formats from 500 x 600mm through to very large formats with maximum dimensions of 1,300 x 2,100mm (optionally 1,300 x 2,800mm), and a maximum thickness of 12mm.

For those just starting or transitioning to digital, Durst offers the Delta SPC 130 CORE. With its development, manufacturers and converters can start at a lower investment level and build up a portfolio of clients looking for digital print now while having the ability to expand in the future when additional capacity, automation options, or colors are needed. In addition to CORE scalability, Delta SPC 130 modularity allows for expanded capacity without needing room for an additional printer and without needing to replace the CORE machine. The Delta SPC 130 CORE utilizes the same heads, ink, electronics, and software as the Delta SPC 130, so there is no sacrifice in quality at this investment level.

Durst now offers a Digital Water-based white ink, a first for the industry. This ink allows for high-quality printing on brown or kraft boards, expanding the board types that can be printed on the SPC. It also further addresses sustainability concerns, reducing the need for bleached or coated substrates, and enables easier de-inking and recycling of kraft fibers. Water-based white printing on Delta SPC enables another level of embellishment effects, allowing for a greater number of jobs to be printed digitally like clients and brands looking for solutions for e-commerce and gifting. All Durst water-based ink is nonhazardous and allows premium quality, odorless, abrasion-resistant, glossy, and lightfast end products to be produced in a single process. Water Technology is part of the long-term strategy of offering digital printing systems a sustainable alternative to conventional printing systems.

Durst equipment comes with our award-winning, web-based Workflow Software and Analytics Software, eliminating the need for a third-party provider. Durst Workflow is designed for efficient data management and is combined with leading color management and advanced rip technology to allow for full automation. Our Durst Analytics provides easily interpretable print production data, which can call out key performance indicators, production timelines, and detailed job information, streamlining your processes and increasing your production efficiency.

With the continued promise of advancement and growth, Durst remains the top solution in today’s corrugated industry.
