G.F. Puhl Offers Space-Saving Innovations

The engineering experts at G.F. Puhl customize trim and dust collection systems to meet your needs. One of the most common requirements for any system installation is to fit the system into the smallest possible space that minimizes our customer’s construction cost and allows more space for production equipment.

One of our most popular indoor space-saving solutions is to design and install an outdoor concentrator, a device that literally concentrates the material into less air before conveying the material to the baler. Concentrating the airflow outdoors allows us to reduce the space and size of the indoor equipment. Concentrators offer several advantages:

  1. Concentrators can be paired directly with a dust filter system, which can be either indoors or outdoors depending on available space inside the building and the customer’s preference.
  2. Concentrators can run in all outdoor weather conditions.
  3. Concentrators allow the use of a smaller indoor separator over the baler, which reduces the ceiling height required in the baler area.
  4. Concentrators provide a way to expand an existing system without having to purchase an additional baler.
  5. Concentrators are very low maintenance with very few moving parts.

Another G.F. Puhl space-saving innovation involves placing our material-handling blowers on engineered post mounts. G.F. Puhl engineers have created designs that you may not have seen elsewhere. Our post mounts typically have a footprint of less than 3 ft. x 3 ft. and do not load the roof structure with weight. Our post mounting system allows your maintenance crew to drive up to the blower with a scissors lift and safely perform preventive maintenance tasks.

The indoor space of a manufacturing operation costs box and packaging manufacturing plants money both upfront and on an ongoing basis in construction, heating, cooling, housekeeping, and insurance premiums. G.F. Puhl’s engineering expertise minimizes the space needed for trim-collection systems and maximizes the space you can use for manufacturing by employing engineered space-saving technology and equipment that can operate both indoors and outdoors.

Give us a call to discuss how we can reduce your costs with a G.F. Puhl engineered air conveyed dust and trim collection system.
