Over 95 Years of Innovative Solutions

Since 1929, Geo. M. Martin Company has been a pioneer in developing innovative solutions for diverse industries, including maritime, mining, and agriculture. In the 1940s, the company recognized the burgeoning need for creative solutions in the corrugated packaging sector, shifting its focus to meet these demands.

Today, the Company’s innovations continue to help converters optimize the efficiency of their converting lines and maximize the throughput of the industry’s fastest rotary die cutters and flexo folder-gluers.

Leading Innovations

One of our latest innovations, SmartShingle™, has been awarded the AICC/BCN Innovation of the Year. This technology addresses a critical challenge for converters: minimizing press feed interrupts during load changes. By optimizing sheet overlap to create a void in the shingle stream, SmartShingle™ significantly reduces production loss, recovering up to 10,000 sheets per eight-hour shift. Operators have the flexibility to engage or disengage this feature, ensuring versatility and control.

Innovating Speed
and Process Reliability

The LBX SCRUBBER® Stacker has set a new standard in the industry, dramatically increasing production rates and process reliability from 32 MSF/hour to as high as 400 MSF/hour for top performers. Engineered for efficiency, the LBX combines advanced sheet control with superior scrap removal, delivering perfectly square, virtually scrap-free stacks at maximum speed. With a variety of features and configurations, our stackers are easily adaptable to meet the evolving needs of converters.

Maximizing Innovation

Our Quik-Break™ III (QBIII) nicked bundle breaker enhances the output of rotary die cutters, flexo folder-gluers, and flatbed die cutters. QBIII’s dual airbag platens provide an even and positive gripping force to maintain the integrity of nicked bundles during separation. The gapless Dynamic Auto-compensating Platen prevents edge rolling and marking on small width bundles and when running parallel bundles with uneven heights. QBIII also features automatic platen offset, automatic bundle height sensing, and adjustable transit speed with smooth acceleration and deceleration.

Being offered in a 68″ (1727mm) model and an extra-wide 92″ (2337mm) model, which can accommodate two 46″ (1168mm) wide bundle logs side by side, makes QBIII the perfect high-performance machine for pizza boxes, wraps, and other wide-format die cuts.

Continuous Innovation

Our SQC and SQX systems further exemplify our commitment to innovation. The SQC system automates sheet removal at all press speeds and integrates with external quality control systems. The SQX enhances scrap removal capabilities, ensuring superior performance in conjunction with our LBX SCRUBBER.

At Geo. M. Martin, we are dedicated to maximizing efficiency and productivity in the packaging industry through continuous innovation. Join us as we redefine the future of corrugated packaging solutions!
