Amtech launched a new suite geared toward hand work, focused on managing hand assembly, assembled products, contract packaging, and value-add fulfillment services.
According to an Amtech press release, this new suite gives manufacturers two levels of capability for managing diversified products and services. The first level—EnCore Assembled Products—supports assembled products such as kits, sets, displays, and other hand assembly workflows. The second level—EnCore Contract Packaging—extends these capabilities for more complex contract packaging, pack-out, and co-manufacturing operations including customer-supplied materials, component tracking, line reconciliation, variance visibility, and audit support.
The suite also includes new hand assembly scheduling capabilities in Amtech’s Advanced Planning Board, according to the release.
“Amtech worked directly with the industry to deliver a solution that simplifies the planning, scheduling, execution, and tracking of assembled products and contract packaging,” said Danna Nelson, senior vice president of products at Amtech. “With these new offerings, we are enabling our customers to strengthen their operations while expanding the commercial offerings they can bring to market.”

Pacificolor LLC has strengthened its leadership team with the appointments of Tad Timmler and Joe Muller to key operational roles supporting the company’s flexographic plate operations.
Timmler joins Pacificolor as operations manager at its Salt Lake City headquarters, where he will focus on manufacturing efficiency, quality, and scalability. He previously held production leadership roles at Handstands and Dometag Brand Labels and has experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
Muller joins as operations and technical manager in Minneapolis. He will oversee operations at Pacificolor’s Minnesota plate manufacturing facility while supporting customers with press-side assistance, print approvals, fingerprinting, press characterization, onboarding, and GMG proofing.

FV Recycling is helping Rouses Markets turn old corrugated cardboard into operational and sustainability value across the grocery chain’s 76 stores in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama, according to an FV Recycling press release.
Through the companies’ long-term partnership, FV Recycling provides cardboard collection, recycling services, and market intelligence designed to improve store efficiency and prevent material from accumulating at busy locations, according to the release. The partnership also provides flexibility for new store openings, seasonal volume increases, and off-cycle pickups.
SUN Automation Group and KOLBUS America are transitioning aftermarket parts, service, and technical support for KOLBUS and Hycorr equipment directly to KOLBUS America, according to a SUN Automation press release.
Under the new structure, KOLBUS America will serve as the primary point of contact for aftermarket support for the equipment. According to the release, KOLBUS America has expanded its aftermarket organization and invested in parts inventory, technical resources, and customer support infrastructure.
SUN Automation will continue to represent and sell KOLBUS machinery throughout North America. The companies also will continue collaborating, with SUN’s technical resources, field service expertise, and Helios digital solutions available to support customers when appropriate.
