Estimating Converting Performance
US manufacturers are continually looking at software and technology to enable them to do more with less and to maximize current capacity. They are also anticipating the next steps after automation to take advantage of ML and AI to participate in digital supply chains. Motionalysis has three main areas of focus:
- Estimation software for all carton and display manufacturing
- Measuring and reporting of machine production using IoT software for OEE and downtime codes and middle ware and APIs to reconcile estimates from actual production
- Reconciliation of data is collected in an open framework to be consumed by BI and ML tools.
Estimation
Motionalysis deploys Clarico Systems for quick and easy time and cost estimation for box and display production. Clarico’s intuitive interface makes the quoting process fast and easy to understand. Users may quote for digital print and cut, as well as analog processes or any combination of the three. The system excels at kitting for multi-part packaging and displays. Quote as many corrugated and mixed materials that may be needed as well as additional secondary operations like hand labor and co-packing.
Measuring
Shiftworx™ by FreePoint™ Technologies is a cloud-based MES system that works with any machine, manufacturer, or process. Engage operators to reduce downtime and identify areas of improvement. Management gains visibility to OEE and uptime calculations via dashboards and custom reports. All data is stored in open architecture that can leverage use of ML algorithms.
Reconciliation
Close the loop with Motionalysis’ DigiGlue and automatically compare estimated time and cost values with actual postproduction values measured by Shiftworx™. Use of ML will make the systems “smarter” over time. DigiGlue’s open APIs allow for data transfer between ERP systems.
Scheduling (New for 2023)
Motionalysis is excited to announce that job scheduling and work order management will be an additional feature of Shiftworx™. Jobs can be intercepted from ERP, and the entire WIP can be tracked between the different machine and workstation operations. Intelligent and flexible routing tracks partial completion of jobs that may be waiting on other steps to complete. The software can track mixed orders or gang run jobs as well.
