Flint Group recently partnered with SOMA and Marvaco to create an environmentally friendly HD Expanded Gamut Printing piece at the SOMA Flexo Challenge Conference 2019 in Czech Republic. The live printing of the design at the event showcased that sustainability, being a top priority for the industry, can be achieved while producing high-quality print results.

Flint’s contribution to the group was its’ nyloflex® XPH thermal printing plates, which are suitable for water-based and UV inks. The round-top dot plates are processed with the nyloflex® Xpress Thermal Processor, reliably delivering lightning-fast platemaking and high-end flexo printing. These products help to secure 30 percent less waste, up to 88 percent reduction in electricity usage, and a processing time of only 45 minutes.

Beyond the plates and processor, Flint contributed TerraCode inks, which are designed for all eco-green projects—a hybrid biorenewable system that supports sustainability while remaining regulation-compliant.
