Bennett Packaging is celebrating its 30th anniversary in the corrugated industry this year. Owners Kathy and Doug Bennett started the celebration with an employee recognition event at Main Event in Independence, Mo.

We are very proud of how far we have come over the past 30 years, said Owner Kathy Bennett. We could not have done it without the amazing teams here at Bennett; therefore, we wanted to thank them for their hard work.

Rusken Packaging, based in Cullman, Ala., acquired Great Southern Industries Inc. in late August, helping to expand its presence in the U.S. Southeast.

We are extremely pleased to add Great Southern to the Rusken family, said Rusken President & CEO Greg Rusk. We feel that this is an excellent fit into our culture and growth strategy in the Southeast, and we look to continue to build upon the many years of success Great Southern has enjoyed.

Pamarco’s Gary White, plant manager and gravure sales manager at the Palmyra, N.J, location, was recently honored with the Industry Leaders Award, given by the Gravure Association of the Americas’ Gravure Cylinders Society. Each year, nominees are chosen based on outstanding or extraordinary contributions to the gravure industry.

Gary is highly respected among his peers and provides consultative services to many of our customers, Pamarco Flexo Division President John Burgess said.

Complete Design and Packaging, a Concord, N.C.-based independent corrugated packaging provider, recently purchased the EFI Nozomi C18000 single-pass LED corrugated packaging press. This is the first purchase of this six-color press in the U.S. The installation process will begin in the fourth quarter of 2017.

Scarborough, Ontario-based Atlantic Packaging Products announced a strategic partnership with York Container Company of York, Pa. Details of the partnership are not currently being disclosed, but leaders at both companies are satisfied with the deal.

After an evaluation of our various options, we are thrilled to join forces with Atlantic, said Stehpen Tansey, president of York Container. The is the best possible outcome for all of our stakeholders, in particular, our customers and employees.

Atlantic is always looking for progressive and well-managed companies to team up with, said Atlantic Packaging Chair Irving Granovsky. We feel York Container is a wonderful addition to our partnership portfolio.
